Award-winning digital marketer and blogger Edward Asare over the weekend delivered a talk at the 2021 Bloggers Summit organised by Avance Media. Speaking on the panel with other bloggers and digital entrepreneurs, Edward talked about building a brand and career from blogging.
The Ghana Bloggers Summit is the biggest convention of bloggers, journalists, digital influencers and media enthusiasts in Ghana. Held annually, the third edition this year came off at the Swiss Spirit Alisa Hotels, North Ridge on Saturday 4th December 2021 from 9am to 4pm.
This year’s summit focused on themes that included:
- Techniques in blogging that sustain blogs and their brands
- Future of digital publishing and the promotion of citizen journalism
- Digital/Misinformation literacy for Bloggers
- Building a brand using the 8 marketing tools
- The Impact of Blogging on Ghanaian Tourism, among many others.
The Bloggers Summit was debuted in 2019, with famous Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji as a crucial speaker. Other previous speakers include Nana Aba Anamoah, Patrice Amegashie, Ameyaw Debrah, Ismail Akwei, Jemila Abdulai, Papaga Seckloawu Bless, Eugene Osafo-Nkansah and Elorm Beenie.
At this year’s summit, a GhanaWeb Reporter Contest was held with selected contestants receiving a specialized page on GhanaWeb with full access and monetisation potential.
