Twinsax to host first UK version of ‘Gratitude Concert’ in January 2023

Nigerian saxophone sensation Twinsax will hold their annual Gratitude Concert in the UK for the first time in January 2023. The event has held a thrill over the past 6 years on Oduduwa University campus in Nigeria, where the twins graduated from.

The concert has featured admirable Christian ministers over the years and would be hosting its international debut alongside Nigerian, UK-based renowned gospel saxophonist, Mike Aremu.

“We use this concert to show gratitude to God, for the opportunity He provides us in life on a daily basis. We also use to appreciate the people who have come our way and help us in anyway. We are thankful for the opportunities that we get to be of a positive impact in the lives of people and situations,” said Twinsax in a conversation with the TheAfricanDream.net.

“The Gratitude Concert is just about being grateful to God and all the people around. It’s a representation of everything positive,” they added.

The gospel duo and identical twins have through their stimulating command of saxophone extended an “undiluted passion for the gospel of Christ.”

They have instituted international Christian events like the Gospel Jazz Evening Africa, and Jazz Amplified. They launched Gratitude Concert in a grand inception in 2017, and UK Music Tour in 2022.

“Since relocating to the UK, we have been committed to the assignment God gave us by propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the UK through our music,” said Twinsax to the TheAfricanDream.net.

They started playing saxophone from age 9, and their choice of musical genre growing up has been Jazz blended with gospel sounds.

The twins are originally from Aiyetoro Gbedde in Kogi State, but were born in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, and are recognised locally as Marvelous Taye Ayodele and Innocent Kehinde Ayodele.

Since 2017, Twinsax has had a vision to take the gospel around the globe. They started with touring five Nigerian states and extended to other African countries like Ghana.

In September they launched their Europe Tour 2022, concluding it in October. According to the duo, it was a medium to evangelise the gospel in the European region through their gift saxophone.
