Rocky, Wiyaala, Samini, and friends shutdown Alliance Française

Grammy nominee musician Rocky Dawuni in the company of musician friends like Wiyaala, Samini and others brought the Alliance Française venue in Ghana’s capital city of Accra to a standstill when Rocky held his “Homecoming Concert and Album Celebration“there on Friday, December 18, 2015.

Rocky’s Homecoming Concert and Album Celebration event was to launch his Grammy nominated sixth studio album titled “Branches of the same Tree that was officially released worldwide March 31, 2015 on Cumbancha.

Our photographer friends: CHEEL and Asak, were at Alliance Française to capture some of the exciting moments of the concert in Ghana which we share with you in the pictures you see.

The musician who is also a humanitarian is the first Ghanaian to be nominated for “Best Reggae Album” by organizers of the 58th Annual Grammy Awards in the same category with other Reggae greats like Jah Cure, Barrington Levy, Luciano and Morgan Heritage who are all Jamaicans.

According to Wikipedia, the 2016 Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony will recognize the best recordings, compositions, and artists of the eligibility year, which will run from October 1, 2014, to September 30, 2015.
