Yet Another Tema Arts and Fashion Festival

The Tema Arts and Fashion Festival is happening this year, once more. Last year was a success, and riding on that success is many more packed into this year’s event.

This December 4-6, expect art and fashion on display in Tema. The three-day festival has been segmented into three eras; the past which represent our history, the present which holds our gift and the future which represents our hopes and aspirations.

The Tema Arts and Fashion Festival is dubbed “Tsooboe” under the theme; ‘Harnessing Skills and Talents for Economic Empowerment”. The word “Tsooboe” is a call for action expression used widely in Ghana. A call to harness skills and talents. It is a call to revisit the past, live the present and project into the future.

According to organizers of the festival, ‘the Community Impact Project will focus on raising support to put up a library and computer laboratory for the Community 2, No.4 Basic School as well as to create Autism Awareness as we are involving children from the HopeSetters Autism Center to take part in the festival.’

The art, shopping, music and runway shows will draw artists from various parts of the country to participate in this year’s festival.

“There will be five major street-art-processions. Some will depict the history of Tema and the industrial nature of the city as well as what the future looks like.”

The festival will be at the trade fair as well, where selling of various fashion accessories, art items, food among others will be available, plus a fashion runway shows every evening for the three days.

Major media partners will be in their numbers to support the Tsooboe Art and Fashion festival, including Global Media Alliances, a conglomerate media house that runs ETV, YFM and Happy FM. Top FMan Accra-based radio station is also partnering us for the second time, as well as Blogging Ghana and Barcamp Tema.
