AfroXmas 2023 already in the works after success of last event

Syphics Studios through a consortium of event companies, and a partnership with TheAfricanDream.net as media sponsor successfully concluded another exciting edition of their annual AfroXmas Carnival last year in Ghana’s favourite port city of Tema, not far from the capital city of Accra.

The carnival was an incredible celebration of community, culture, fun, and entertainment. It featured a wide range of activities, including parade, masquerade competitions, musical and performances that was attended by thousands of people from all walks of life.

The AfroXmas Carnival which held December 25-26 last year “was a resounding success, and we are proud to say that it has cemented its place as the biggest free event in the capital,” revealed Benjamin Swanzy Kwesi, the CEO of SyPhics in an interview with TheAfricanDream.net last month.

Showcasing a unique culture

AfroXmas, according to the organisers is a display of all that Ghana has to offer culturally, as well as a venue for people to join in pride for their African ancestry. It stands for celebrating Christmas the African way, and having the locals enjoy the festivities with afro culture in colourful styles.

AfroXmas is already the biggest masquerade celebration in Tema, and the festival’s founders always noted that they are giving back to the society by collaborating with local partners to celebrate and promote Ghana’s rich culture.

“Not only was the recent carnival an exciting and enjoyable experience for everyone who attended, but it also played a significant role in promoting the city of Tema. The event attracted visitors from far and wide, providing a boost to local businesses and showcasing the city’s unique culture and history and tourism potential,” said the CEO.

Event organizers expressed gratitude to the general public for making the AfroXmas Carnival an enjoyable and memorable experience free of any negativity.

“Thanks to everyone’s cooperation and responsible behavior, the event was accident-free, and everyone had a great time. We hope that everyone who attended AfroXmas took away plenty of happy memories and that they will continue to support us in the future events as we are already gearing up for 2023,” the organizers said.
