The biggest masquerade festival in the Harbour City of Ghana, Tema outside of Accra and known as AfroXmas, has been officially launched with a colorful event this past weekend at The Location Bar, in Tema Community 10.

Activities scheduled for this year look to be an upgrade of previous events according to SyPhics.
At the launch of the 6th Edition of AfroXmas, it was announced that the festival will be a 2-day event slated for the 25th and 26th of December 2021 and will be hosted in Tema Community 2 (on the main Police Station road) by two of its long-serving masquerade group members, Sanatos and Sea Stars Fancy Groups.
The organizers of the event reiterated that the festival was their way of giving back to society by uniting with local partners to celebrate and showcase the rich Ghanaian culture. Organizers further pointed out that AfroXmas is a display of all the beauty that Ghana has to offer and above all, a platform to unite all with pride for their African roots.
