Zimbabwe listed as world’s best country to visit in 2025

Zimbabwe has been named the world’s best country to visit in 2025, according to Kayak’s latest travel check-in report, a world-leading travel site, as published by Forbes. The ranking highlighted destinations that have seen significant increases in flight searches and offer strong potential for wellness, cultural, and low-intensity travel experiences.

From Africa’s roaring waterfalls to Europe’s quiet coasts, the list shows a growing global appetite for nature, heritage, and affordability. Zimbabwe tops the ranking, followed by Lithuania, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Argentina, Morocco, Norway, Moldova, Hong Kong, and Denmark. Here’s how:

1. Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe leads the list with its blend of natural beauty and deep cultural heritage. The ancient stone ruins of Great Zimbabwe stand as symbols of its historic past, while Victoria Falls continues to draw travellers with its dramatic gorges and misty rainbows. Flight searches to Vilnius have more than doubled (+105%) compared to last summer.

3. Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka continues to attract visitors with its tropical coastlines, ancient cities, and lush tea plantations.
