Nubian Red aka Sherika Harris is a first-time mother who has put her music career aside to nurture, focus all her energies and passion on saving Rafael’s leg from amputation.

Even though diagnosed with an orthopedic condition, his talent for playing the piano and being enthusiastic about numbers has surely made him exceptional and unbeatable. Rafael displays hope that no matter how unexpected and difficult a situation is, being self-driven is the driving force for a brighter future.

Historically, the solution for Rafael’s condition is amputation. Amputation is the removal of a limb by trauma, medical illness or surgery. Rafael’s parents are not looking down this path as they are optimistic and faithful that their son will be able to run and play on both feet in the near future.

Fortunately, thanks to modern innovation and technological advancements, there is a solution for Rafael’s condition: medicine with the accommodation of three surgeries and physical therapy, which is estimated to cost US $250,000.00.

If these surgeries are successful, Rafael would be the first Jamaican with Tibial Hemimelia to receive the modern-day treatment rather than amputation. This is the hope for humanity, improving the life of a boy named Rafael, our present future. A GoFundMe account has been created for Rafael’s surgery.

Be a part of the breakthrough by making Rafael’s dream come true. Join the 1 in a Million Campaign to save Rafael’s leg and attend a Benefit Concert in his honor on October 22, 2021. For details and support, go to https://www.Arevea.com
