Don Dada’s new EP, ‘Forward We Continue,’ calls for unity

Ruff Cutt Studio owner and multi-platinum selling South African Reggae/Hip-Hop artist, Menelik Nesta Gibbons professionally known as Don Dada, has released a stirring new six-track EP, ‘Forward We Continue,’ in August 2025. The release serves as a personal cry for unity, weaving together roots reggae, hip-hop, and African influences.
Through the EP, Don Dada explores themes of pride, resistance, and the unshakeable will to persevere. The work is a collaborative effort, merging an impressive list of artists and production talent from across the globe.
The opening track, “Forward,” is a militant and soulful anthem that features the commanding spoken word of the late praise poet Jessica Mbangeni alongside Jamaican artist Geeza Graham.
Another highlight is “Your Love (Dangerous),” a soulful ballad set to a reggae rhythm that features South African vocalist Urban, also known as Bheki Nene. Behind the scenes, the legendary Jamaican reggae production duo, Sly & Robbie, and industry guru, Leroy Scarlet provided their expertise for a rich and authentic sound.
Beyond its collaborative spirit, the EP’s six tracks offer a balanced mix of social commentary and personal reflection. In “Love, Respect & Care,” Don Dada delivers a message calling for freedom and compassion.
The momentum shifts with “High School,” a fast-tempo, groove-driven club track that injects personal storytelling into the project. Don Dada’s activist side emerges in “Social Message,” a track offering a raw commentary on the challenges of corruption and poverty facing today’s youth.

The EP closes with “Loyalty,” a track that serves as a sobering reminder that trust can be a rare commodity. The release was a coordinated effort across multiple continents, and is distributed by RuFF CuTT Studio under exclusive license to Content Connect Africa (CCA).
Don Dada has achieved a great deal as a Reggae/Hip-Hop artist and social influencer since he made his debut on the 2016 Mandela Day Concert stage in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Last year, he released a double album, ‘The Heart’ and ‘The Mind’ with the first predominantly Reggae-Dancehall, and the other Hip-Hop. The first track in the double album “Rise Up” which was released May 2024, rose to the Reggae VIP Playlist top 100 playlist, holding the number one position for four weeks.
He has grown his Reggae/Hip-Hop career; established himself as a social entrepreneur, motivational speaker, Radio Host and events MC. With his vision to encourage the youth, Don Dada continues to “breath life through music.”
His ‘Forward We Continue’ EP is now available for streaming on major platforms, including Apple Music and CCA FFM, offering listeners a compelling mix of roots, reality, and revolution. Follow Don Dada on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok.
