One of the fastest growing Health and Fitness clubs in Ghana – Walkers Club Ghana – held a mammoth walk on Saturday, 3rd June, 2017.

The walk had the theme, ‘Walk for health, Walk for life.’

The event is a series of networking walks and an initiative of One Ghana in partnership with Kwesé Sports and Burn It Health Fitness.

The event brought together Ghanaians from all walks of life; including students, media practitioners, bankers, businessmen, hoteliers, health practitioners and fitness instructors.

The walk started from the Accra Sports Stadium in the nation’s capital city of Accra and meandered through various streets of the city including Osu before hitting the main Osu Oxford Street and finally ending up at the popular junction at Labone known as “Kata wode3so“; where participants were hosted by Accra’s latest restaurant, Madam Flavor.

According to Walkers Club coordinator Leonard Akoto: “the club registered over 100 new members on the day with each member receiving a t-shirt, drinks, fruits and a unique number which allowed them to participate in the Kwesé Sports decoder raffle” put together by the event organizers to motivate participants.”

The exciting raffle was won by three lucky participants namely, Sharon Fiamoko, Divine Bone and Kelly Anyomitse from Dansoman, Burma Camp and Teshie respectively, all cities around the capital.

Prophet Prempeh sometime before this event in the past made a special call to men and women in sports to build a stronger relationship with God in order to see them realize their fullest potential as competitors and winners.

According to organizers, the walk will be held in a different community every fortnight until the timetable for weekly activations is announced in August 2017.
