Precious Hannah Ewoo-Asiem launches ‘Nea ‘Sepe Me Kra’ Gospel album in US

Nea `Sepe Me Kra‘ is the title of the fourth album of Precious Hannah Ewoo-Asiem, a Ghanaian Gospel artist based in the United States (US) who is affectionately called Precious Hannah by her fans. The album was launched August 10, 2019, at the Washington Ghanaian Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church in Maryland, US.

The Gospel songwriter and performer in an interview with TheAfricanDream.net explained that ‘Nea `Sepe Me Kra‘ when interpreted from the Akan language of Ghana into English simply means “All That Thrills My Soul”. Precious Hannah said she chose this title because no one can cheer the heart like Jesus.

From SDA Hymn 189 she stressed her point by singing “‘…All that thrills my soul is Jesus; He is more than life to me; and the fairest of ten thousand, in my blessed Lord I see…'” to drive home her point. “Since the release of my first album titled ‘Onyame Adom’ in 2013 I have continued to be filled with the blessings of the Lord, and I can not help but confess that it brings a great thrilling effect to my soul,” said Precious Hannah.

The remaining songs on the 11-track album feature a few rearranged SDA hymns and compositions by Stephen Dougan and James Armah. Others featured are Koff Agyekum, One Voice Choir Ghana, and Bright Appiah Nkansah aka “Banky,” all of whom are carving a niche for themselves in the Ghanaian Gospel music circles today.

Pastor Doctor Andrews Ewoo, an International Evangelist of the SDA Church and his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Ewoo who are the parents of Precious Hannah were among the special guests who had flown in from Ghana for the album launch. Other guests in attendance the singer’s husband Elder Ebenezer Asiem and some key members within the SDA community in the Washington, DC metro area.
