Kofi Boachie-Ansah reminisces Grammy nomination for “The Fury”

Multi-disciplinary artist and creative entrepreneur, Kofi Boachie-Ansah II, from Accra, Ghana, celebrated his Grammy nomination afresh for his role as a Contributor/Guest Artist on Antonio Vergara’s album, The Fury.
He described his deep honour of being recognised alongside a “powerful and deeply expressive body of work,” that was nominated under the Best Contemporary Blues Album category.
The album got the nomination at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards held on February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, honouring the best recordings, compositions, and artists from September 16, 2023, to August 30, 2024, as selected by the Recording Academy’s voting members. The ceremony, hosted by Trevor Noah for the fifth consecutive year, was broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
Boachie-Ansah, also known as BeatMenace or Kofiversed, mentioned in a post on Instagram that the nomination reflects the “collective passion, soul, and commitment of his and every musician, producer, and engineer” involved in the production of The Fury album.
He extended congratulations to all contributors, noting the privilege of collaborating with remarkable talents. He also thanked Vergara for his trust, vision, and for inviting him for the album.
Boachie-Ansah applauded all Grammy nominees and winners for their role in advancing culture and welcomed the Recording Academy’s 2025 New Member Class, emphasizing the importance of their voices and stories.
“Warm congratulations as well to all of the nominees and winners, your work continues to move culture forward. And a heartfelt welcome and congratulations to the new members of the @recordingacademy 2025 New Member Class, we need your voices, your stories, your brilliance now more than ever,” he posted.
Boachie-Ansah was part of the Recording Academy’s 2024 Voting Member Class, a milestone he described as a privilege to join countless talented creators and professionals who advocate for music.

He has been a prominent figure in Africa’s creative industries with nearly two decades of experience. His works cut across music, fine art, design, film, tech, and law, focusing on economic impact, advocacy, and ecosystem development for Africa’s creative and entertainment sectors.
He has worked on independent film productions, television series, and with artists across multiple genres, showcasing expertise in music production, songwriting, audio engineering, and more.
