Antiguan Chaneil Imhoff wins CHOGM 2026 logo contest
Antigua and Barbuda’s creative scene has earned a moment in the global spotlight as communications specialist and designer Chaneil Imhoff was unveiled as the winner of the official logo design competition for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2026.
The announcement was made during the launch ceremony at Sandals Grande Antigua on November 4, 2025, attended by Prime Minister Gaston Browne, Governor-General Sir Rodney Williams, Commonwealth Secretary-General representative Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, and CHOGM Task Force Chair Clarence Pilgrim.
The launch marked a defining moment for the twin-island nation as it prepares to host world leaders across the Commonwealth in 2026. The unveiling of Imhoff’s logo celebrated her creative achievement and symbolized Antigua and Barbuda’s readiness to engage the world through art, identity, and innovation.
In her remarks, Imhoff described the win as “an honour, a pleasure, and a privilege,” emphasizing the significance of the recognition for local artists and the wider Orange Economy. “The frigate bird in motion represents our freedom and resilience,” she said.
“Its colours, drawn from our national flag and the Commonwealth palette, speak to both our pride and our global connection. To see this design chosen to represent Antigua and Barbuda is one of the proudest moments of my creative journey,” she added.

Beyond her artistic success, Imhoff used the platform to advocate for deeper investment in the creative sector, noting that the Orange Economy plays a crucial role in national development. “Design, music, film, fashion — these are not just art forms,” she said. “They are engines of growth and expressions of who we are. Our creativity is nation-building, and it deserves sustained funding and support.”
A multidisciplinary creative with over a decade of experience, Imhoff is widely recognized for her expertise in branding, digital media, and public communication. She is also a passionate mental health advocate and founder of WISH, the Wadadli Initiative for Self-care and Healing, an organization dedicated to promoting wellness across Antigua and Barbuda. In addition, she hosts Government in Motion on ABS Television.
Imhoff’s CHOGM Antigua and Barbuda 2026 logo centers on an abstract frigate bird, a national emblem symbolizing freedom and strength. The design merges the red, yellow, blue, and black of the national flag with teal and magenta from the Commonwealth’s palette, reflecting unity, diversity, and forward progress.
As Antigua and Barbuda looks ahead to CHOGM 2026, Imhoff’s winning design clearly reflects the nation’s creative power, cultural pride, and resilience, a visual story of a small island making a bold statement on the world stage.
