Embassy of Ghana welcomes Tema Choir USA in Paris

Tema Choir USA has proudly announced the successful completion of its 12-day international cultural exchange tour to Paris, France, and London, England. The choir and accompanying delegation returned safely to the United States on June 16, 2026, after an inspiring journey filled with music, worship, cultural engagement, and community-building.

The tour, which took place from June 4–16, provided a unique opportunity for the choir to showcase Ghanaian choral music and culture on an international stage while fostering meaningful connections with communities across Europe.

A highlight of the tour was Tema Choir USA’s participation in several major international choral events, including performances at Église Saint-Adrien de Courbevoie in Paris, the Chrysalis Theatre in Milton Keynes, and Elim Pentecostal Church in London.

These prestigious concerts brought together renowned choral ensembles and artists from across Africa, including representatives from Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Cameroon, and several other nations, creating a vibrant celebration of African music, culture, and unity.

The events were organized by Soprano Events, a respected international organization known for producing the acclaimed Africa Sings Festival, one of the leading platforms showcasing African choral excellence and cultural expression around the world. Through these collaborations, Tema Choir USA joined fellow choirs in demonstrating the richness, diversity, and global impact of African choral music.

In addition to these featured performances, the choir participated in worship services at Peace Congregation Presbyterian Church in Ermont, France; Wesley Methodist Church in Sarcelles, France; and Methodist congregations in the United Kingdom. The delegation also paid courtesy visits to Ghana’s Ambassador to France and the Ghana High Commission in London, strengthening connections between the Ghanaian diaspora and diplomatic community.

Our tour was a tremendous success and a powerful reminder of the unifying power of music,” said Mr Allotey. “We are deeply grateful to God for His protection throughout the journey and thankful for the warm welcome we received from audiences, churches, fellow musicians, community leaders, and supporters in both Paris and London.”

In addition to their performances, choir members experienced some of Europe’s most iconic cultural and historical landmarks while serving as ambassadors of Ghanaian heritage and excellence. Throughout the tour, the choir promoted cross-cultural understanding, fellowship, and artistic collaboration among people from diverse backgrounds.

The success of the tour was made possible through the prayers, encouragement, and generous support of families, friends, sponsors, partners, and well-wishers. Their contributions enabled the choir to fulfil its mission of promoting unity, cultural understanding, and musical excellence through performance and outreach.

Tema Choir USA remains committed to its mission by enriching communities through music, celebrating Ghanaian culture, and building bridges across diverse audiences around the world. For updates, photos, and videos from the tour, follow Tema Choir USA on Facebook and other social media platforms.
