Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2026 list of winners
The 2026 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards unfolded on Saturday, May 9, 2026, with a glamorous celebration honoring excellence in African film, television, and digital content creation.
The high-profile event drew some of Nollywood’s biggest names alongside influential figures from the wider African entertainment scene, recognizing exceptional talent, storytelling, and productions across a wide range of categories. Leading the list of winners were Uzor Arukwe, who secured the Best Lead Actor award for Colours of Fire, and Linda Ejiofor, who earned Best Lead Actress for The Serpent’s Gift.
Bucci Franklin also emerged victorious, winning Best Supporting Actor for his performance in To Kill a Monkey. Meanwhile, Lateef Adedimeji received the Best Indigenous Movie (West Africa) award for Lisabi and dedicated the recognition to his wife, actress Mo Bimpe Adedimeji.
The evening’s biggest honour, Best Movie, went to My Father’s Shadow, making it one of the standout productions of this year’s highly contested awards ceremony. Here is the complete list of nominees and winners from the 2026 AMVCA.
