Tall Ghana to bring elevated social experience to Kumasi on July 20
The growing community created for tall men and women expands beyond Accra with its first Kumasi edition.
Tall Ghana, a social and professional community created to bring tall people together, will host its first Kumasi edition on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Starbites Asokwa Branch. The event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will offer guests an evening of networking, interactive games, conversation, entertainment and community building.
Tall Ghana was founded by Ghanaian-Canadian media personality, producer and cultural & tourism strategist Ivy Prosper. The initiative was created to provide a welcoming environment where tall people can meet others who understand the shared social experiences that often come with being noticeably taller than average.
Following two successful editions in Accra, Tall Ghana is expanding to Kumasi as part of its mission to build a nationwide community of tall Ghanaians.
“Tall people are often accustomed to being the tallest person in the room,” said Ivy Prosper. “Tall Ghana creates a completely different experience. For one evening, you are surrounded by people who understand the attention, assumptions, challenges and even the humour that can come with being tall. It is about connection, confidence, visibility and belonging.”
The Kumasi edition will bring together tall professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, students and other community members in a relaxed and premium social setting.
All are welcome to attend, but the event encourages women who are at least 5 feet 9 inches tall and men who are at least 6 feet tall to attend. We’re connecting with the tall community.
Tall Ghana is more than a social gathering. Its broader goal is to create opportunities for friendship, professional networking, confidence building, collaboration and community among tall people across Ghana.
The Kumasi event will include signature Tall Ghana activities designed to encourage guests to interact naturally and build meaningful connections. Attendees will also have opportunities to take photographs, participate in group activities and connect with brands that serve or support the tall community.
