Sport app startup: Kaazi’s new feature helps footballers make professional CV in one tap

Ghanaian football startup Kaazi has introduced a new “Download CV” feature where football players can now create a professional football CV in just one tap or one click, on their phone or desktop.

Kaazi is a Ghanaian football app that allows football players in Africa and recruiters to find each other and transact safely online. Kaazi also documents stories of players and communities in Africa and its diaspora.

With its newly introduced feature, users with a registered player account will only need to use their existing data to create their one-page professional CV.

According to the startup, football players can download their CV, print it out and share it with recruiters. However, subscribers can only use this feature for free until October 2022.

“This feature can improve the connection between football players in Africa and recruiters,” said Nana Yaw Oppong-Mensah, founder of Kaazi to theafricandream.net.

“Most football players in Africa currently don’t have professional football CVs and many spend long hours and money trying to design a professional one. This new feature is designed to bridge that gap and give players visibility,” he added.

The core of Kaazi’s technology is focused on giving football players visibility. When football players sign up, they can quickly make a football profile based on their technical, social, and physical attributes.

Football players can then upload videos of their skills and match highlights. The app also caters to the needs of scouts & football clubs, who can create their own profiles in order to search for new football talents.

“Kaazi is ready to address these challenges in the world of professional football dealings and transfers by offering a platform where football players can create their profile and upload videos of their skills and other basic info recruiters, agents and clubs look out for when they are interested in players,” said Oppong-Mensah in a 2021 interview with theafricandream.net.
