Dr. Joe Wolemonwu releases a new book titled ‘Team Lead Model of Self-leadership’

Dr. Joe Wolemonwu, Board Chairman/Executive Director of the Association of Certified Knowledge Management Professionals (ACKMP) has released a motivating and instructional 225-page book on leadership.

The book is titled “Team Lead Model of Self-leadership: Applying Relational Leadership Concept to Self-leadership and Effectively Team Leadership,” and has already been published on Amazon ahead of its official launching on October 8, 2022.

It highlights a ‘T.E.A.M L.E.A.D Model Framework,’ which according to Dr Wolemonwu are eight essential self-leadership qualities that can boost any leader’s productivity.

The model emphasises the need for leaders to be concerned with how they engage with others and how to bring people together to effect change and make a difference for the greater good.

“Four attributes with the acronym T.E.A.M are internal attributes the leader must possess, while the remaining four L.E.A.D show external attributes that enable the leader to lead the team effectively,” said Dr. Wolemonwu.


According to Dr. Wolemonwu, the first set of leadership attributes is encoded in the acronym T.E.A.M:

T – Training, enhances performance, grows knowledge, makes a leader competent, and boosts productivity through learned skills.

E – Enterprising, develops a leader’s capacity to generate ideas and skills that make them creatively resourceful. A resourceful leader always finds a way to take advantage of a situation.

A – Authenticity, gives the leader credibility and makes people appreciate your leadership.

M – Mindfulness, creates resilience and happiness and increases productivity. It helps regulate your emotions. It enables you to have a greater level of emotional intelligence.

According to the book, the second part of the self-leadership acronym is L.E.A.D.

L – Listening, helps a leader communicate effectively and makes them more charismatic by keeping them engaged in a conversation. It helps improve the leader’s relationships with others.

E – Empathizing with others helps build trust and encourages open communication and effective feedback.

A – Accountability, helps to improve Performance and enables people to be in control of their actions.

D – Delegation, helps promote teamwork by creating a mentorship environment that supports learning and development with credible skills to grow and work effectively as a team.

The book concluded on the perception that in order to be more effective, a leader must possess each of the eight essential T.E.A.M L.E.A.D qualities. It also lays out a wealth of additional knowledge for aspiring leaders.

Dr. Joe Wolemonwu is a leader, mentor, innovator, educator, featured speaker, and knowledge management practitioner.

He published his first book in 2018 titled “Leveraging Knowledge Management For Efficient Customer Service: An Insight into Acquiring Customer Relationship Management Skills Required for Any Career,” also available on Amazon.

Dr. Wolemonwu is currently the Board Chairman/Executive Director ACKMP an organization which he co-founded in December 2016 and immediately stepped into the Chairmanship of the ACKMP Board of Directors.

Prior to assuming the leadership role of this premier organization; he served as the Vice President – Membership and Education with the Toastmasters International Organization and currently a Civil Servant and a Technocrat.

Before to his Civil Service, he worked with Exxon Mobil Corporation in the State of Virginia and also served in the Government of the District of Columbia, Washington, DC.

He also worked as a Government Contractor and a Senior Business Analyst with International Profit Associates (Integrated Business Analysis). He is also the founder and Chairman of the Board of Director Hyte Enterprise Systems Consulting (HYTESYSCO).

He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA)  degree with concentration in Financial Management and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting. 

He’s also an Associate Member of the Certified Fraud Examiner (ACFE) institution and holds a Professional Certificate in Strategic Management and Professional Certificate with the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterrey, California, on Multi-Criteria Decision Making Process from 2013.
