Woodin launches ‘‘new ready-to-wear collection’’ in 25 trendy styles

Pioneering Pan-African textile and fashion brand, Woodin has introduced its latest ready-to-wear collection featuring “25 trendy styles.” The launch celebrates modern African identity, drawing from the geometric boldness of cubism to create pieces that blend tradition with contemporary finesse.

The new collection stands out for its inspiration from cubism, the early 20th-century art movement pioneered by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. Woodin reinterprets this legacy by infusing it with elements of African elegance, resulting in bright prints for everyday wear.

Woodin announced that the lineup includes 15 versatile styles tailored for men and 10 distinct designs for women, through the theme of “affordable versatility for individual expression.” The brand encourages consumers to explore and express themselves through fashion.

“Our marketing campaign theme, ‘Every day is an adventure,’ celebrates the joy of discovery and connection, inspiring you to seize each day as an opportunity to explore, discover, and make new connections,” said Georgina Mensah, Woodin Marketing Manager.

In the 25 trendy styles, the 15 options for men include tailored shirts, trousers, and jackets that combine geometric prints with clean lines, ideal for business meetings or weekend adventures. Women’s pieces, numbering 10, feature elegant dresses, and tops that highlight feminine strength.

“With Woodin’s new ready-to-wear collection, fashion becomes art as every outfit blends classic elegance with modern innovation. Visit any of our retail shops and partner shops across Africa to experience the collection,” announced Woodin.

Founded in 1985, the brand has established itself as Africa’s leading retail fashion brand, specializing in trendy prints inspired by the continent’s rich art, culture, and symbols. Headquartered in Ghana and operating across multiple African countries, Woodin is renowned for connecting global trends with modern African styles.

Over the years, Woodin has launched numerous collections that highlight its dedication to innovation. For instance, the ‘Noblesse de Woodin’ fabric line, introduced in Q2 2025, features 10 unique patterns in 40 bold color schemes with gold embellishments, evoking nobility and refinement for both men and women.

Similarly, the ‘Equilibrium de Woodin’ collection offers harmonious colours and patterns suitable for elevating personal style. Earlier releases like Flamme de Woodin paid tribute to feminine confidence and beauty, aligning with seasonal promotions such as Mother’s Day.

Woodin’s ready-to-wear segment has been a cornerstone of its evolution, providing convenient, size-inclusive options that cater to diverse body types. Past collections, such as the 2022 ‘Legende de Woodin’ inspired by Bogolan, a traditional Malian mud-cloth technique, aimed to modernise ancestral creativity for younger audiences.

The brand’s ‘Revolution de Woodin’ introduced reversible prints for smart-casual and party wear, available in eight designs across various colors and fabric weights. With over 37 years of expertise, its limited-edition fabrics, outfits, and accessories have become synonymous with the new African fashion identity, appealing to consumers who seek bold, exotic colors and versatile pieces.
