Eternal Water Ghana trains Hydrachem Company’s key distributors

Hydrachem Company‘s key distributors in Ghana participated in a one-day training session hosted by Eternal Water Ghana Ltd, with the vision to secure healthy drinking water in Ghana.

The CEO of Eternal Water, Stephen Oduro Aboagye, emphasised the crucial need for safe drinking water for everyone, regardless of economic level, during a speech at the training session held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Danpong Medical Centre in Batsoona, Accra.

Mr. Aboagye’s concerns about clean drinking water go back to his childhood in a rural village outside of Accra, Ghana. His earliest memories recall the struggles of his family and others in the village to find clean water. Early each morning before school, he would walk for many miles to the nearest stream to help collect water for his family.

After collecting water, his family still had to worry about its suitability for drinking and saw many suffer from illness tied to drinking unsafe water.

At the training, he emphasised how alarming deaths in developing nations are linked to unsafe water, particularly for children. In his speech, he mentioned that proactive steps are needed to be taken to improve the situation.

“This is where Eternal Water comes in handy. We’re parterning with Hydrachem Company to distribute their famous safe Oasis tablets and other products of Hydrachem to the Ghanaian people to have access to”, he said.

Hydrachem is a proud United Kingdom (UK) business with global footprint, working closely with NGOs to keep water supplies free from life-threatening, waterborne diseases. They work with market-leading healthcare institutions, including the National Health Service (NHS), to keep healthcare facilities free from contamination.

Mr. Robin Rough, Hydrachem’s Managing Director took trainees through what Hydrachem stands for and the company’s journey since establishment. According to him, the organisation is a top producer of effervescent chlorine (NaDCC) tablets worldwide. Its tablets are used in baby bottle sterilisation, water purification, surface disinfection, food preparation and agriculture.

The company produces chlorine tablets for some of the most well-known brands in the world in addition to their own brands and distributors. The Managing Director claims that Hydrachem has 50 years of experience with surface disinfection, sterilising, and water purification.
