Industry 4.0 Programme:

1. Keith Holmes & Francis Jeffers

The African American, Canadian, Caribbean Contributions to science and inventions during the 1st to 3rd Industrial Revolutions, and who to look out for during the 4IR.

Keith Holmes is the author of Black Inventors Crafting 200 Years of Success. Francis Jeffers is the founder of the Multicultural Inventors Museum and Visons of Science.

2. Prof Tshilidzi Marwala

An introduction to what the Fourth Industrial Revolution is all about and how it will affect the way we live and work.

Prof Tshilidzi Marwala is VC of the University of Johannesburg and a leading thinker and voice in the 4IR space and specialises in Artificial Intelligence.

Prof Tshilidzi Marwala is the author of several published titles on Industry 4.0, including Closing the Gap: The Fourth Industrial Revolution in Africa.

3. Prof Carlotta Berry

Black women in STEAMi. Electronics engineering and Robotics. Professor of Electrical engineering, Dr Carlotta Berry will be interviewed by Michael Williams, author of the international best-selling Black Scientists & Inventors series of books.

Dr Carlotta Berry is the co-founder of Blacks in Robotics and Blacks in Engineering.

4. Ifayomi Grant

The Great Reset, the World Economic Forum and the dangers of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Why we must guide our children toward STEAMi subjects.

Ifayomi Grant, is a scientist, political thinker, economist, entrepreneur and author of Buy Now Pay Later: How Debt is Used to Create Financial Slavery.

5. Prof Charles Grant

Prof Grant will explore the legacy of Prof Gerald Lalor, inform us of the work his team are carrying out at ICEN. The pros and cons of nuclear as an alternative energy source and how is Jamaica and the Caribbean are readying themselves for the 4IR.

Prof Charles Grant is the Director-General of the International Centre for Environmental and Nuclear Sciences (ICENS) at the University of the West Indies, Mona. Jamaica.

6. Prof. Zulumathabo Zulu

An investigation into the African Origin of Engineering and Mathematics, including the invention of the first calculator. What mindset will Africans need entering the 4IR?

Prof Zulumathabo Zulu is an inventor, author and the Director of Madisebo University Research Institute.

7. Prof Tshilidzi Marwala

Closing The Gap, Can Africa Skip the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Industrial Revolutions whilst Taking Advantage of the 4IR?
