Meet Aura V, the youngest Grammy winner in history

At just 8 years old, the soft-spoken star, Aura V, made music history at the 2026 Grammy Awards when she and her father, Fyütch, won Best Children’s Music Album. The moment was as heartwarming as it was historic.

With the win, Aura V becomes the youngest Grammy winner ever, surpassing Blue Ivy Carter, who was 9 when she earned a Grammy in 2021 as a featured artist on “BROWN SKIN GIRL,” which won Best Music Video.

Ahead of the ceremony, Fyütch acknowledged the milestone with a playful nod to music royalty. “Shout-out to Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Blue Ivy,” he told Baltimore’s WMAR. “But we’re coming for that record.” Beyond the record books, however, the win represents something deeper.

Fyütch, an artist known for blending hip-hop with children’s education, used the acceptance speech to spotlight the purpose behind their work. He described children’s music not simply as a category, but as a calling; one centered on nurturing confidence, curiosity and self-love in the next generation.

He also delivered a pointed message about society’s responsibility to protect and invest in children, framing their work as both activism and revolution rooted in harmony, community and love.

He even took a moment to recognize Ms. Rachel, praising her impact on young audiences and saying she is “doing God’s work right now,” despite not appearing on the album.

Aura V, poised and beaming, had a shout-out of her own. After spotting Laufey on the red carpet and chatting briefly, she congratulated the singer on her Grammy win as well; a charming exchange between two artists at very different stages of their careers.

Children’s music is more than a genre; it is an intention,” Fyütch said, stressing that artists in the space are committed to educating and empowering young minds.
