Ghana to host Alkebulan Africa Summit 2026 in Accra
Accra will host the Alkebulan Africa Summit from March 26 to 28, 2026, as Ghana prepares to welcome a major Pan-African gathering focused on strengthening economic and cultural links between Africa and its global diaspora.
The three-day event to hold under the theme “Uniting the Diaspora to Inspire Change,” will centre on translating dialogue into action, with sessions designed to promote investment, innovation and strategic partnerships that deliver measurable outcomes.
It is expected to draw participants from Africa, Europe, and the Americas, bringing together a broad mix of business leaders, policymakers, investors, and creatives committed to advancing Africa’s development through collaboration.
The Alkebulan Africa Summit, founded by Ivorian entrepreneur and Pan-African advocate Olivier N’Guessan, positions itself as a results-driven platform rather than a traditional conference.
Speaking ahead of the event, N’Guessan said the initiative is focused on moving beyond rhetoric to unlock Africa’s potential through practical, solution-oriented engagement.
He explained that participants will work collectively to develop pathways toward a self-reliant and globally competitive continent, with strong diaspora involvement serving as a central pillar of the summit’s vision.

The programme will feature high-level discussions on trade, investment, technology and diaspora engagement, alongside structured partnership sessions aimed at connecting businesses, innovators, and institutions across borders.
Interactive masterclasses, exhibitions and media roundtables will also form part of the agenda, showcasing African creativity, entrepreneurship and technological progress with an emphasis on tangible impact.
A diverse line-up of speakers from Africa and the diaspora has been confirmed, spanning sectors such as energy, governance, innovation, media and business strategy.
Among them are Geneviève Levellé, Chief Operating Officer of UK-based LiquidAcre; Shakirri Murrain, Director of Innovation Solutions at RICE Atlanta in the United States; Hesta Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Africa Travel in Liberia; and Jéhu Ndoumi, CEO and President of Yunus Group in Cameroon.
Also expected to speak are Naquetta Ricks, a US-based politician and entrepreneur; Emma Sharif, Mayor of Compton, California; and Arlene Richards Barr, International Business Director at Atlanta International Airport.
Ghanaian representation will feature prominently at the summit, including Kwasi Boatey Boateng, CEO of Webber Energy; Mathias Hommey, CEO of 1-2 M&M Engineer Ltd; Gideon Aryeequaye, Executive Secretary of the Creative Arts Agency; media executive Bills Gborgli, widely known as Papa Bills; and Anthony Kingsley Eduam, an executive board member of the summit.
Organisers have highlighted Aryeequaye’s role in engaging key Ghanaian and international stakeholders, a contribution they say has helped shape the quality and diversity of participants expected in Accra.
Registration for the summit is now open, with Individual Passes priced at $150 and Corporate Passes at $250. Both packages include access to all sessions, coffee breaks and lunch, and organisers have encouraged early registration through official channels.
Organisers say the summit will prioritise frameworks that channel diaspora capital, skills, and networks into Africa’s economic transformation, positioning the Alkebulan Africa Summit as a defining moment for collective, action-led engagement in shaping the continent’s future.
Accra’s selection as host city reflects Ghana’s growing standing as a Pan-African hub, reinforced by initiatives such as Beyond the Return and the country’s hosting of the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat.
