
The Rotaract Club of Accra-Dansoman in Ghana organised a seminar to prepare over 250 students for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). Held at three public schools, Obakrowa M/A Primary School, Hobor M/A Primary School, and Honise M/A Primary School, the initiative was led by journalist and gender activist Miss Grace Tsotsoo Quaye.
It was sponsored by Hon. Isaac Awuku Yibor, Member of Parliament for Obom Domeabra Constituency, the event on May 30, 2025, aimed to equip students with strategies to excel in their upcoming exams. The seminar included engaging sessions where Rotaract Club members shared practical study techniques, time management skills, and methods to manage exam-related stress.
Students were encouraged to set achievable goals and maintain focus both during and beyond the examination period. Club members offered personalized mentoring, sharing motivational stories of individuals who overcame challenges to succeed, inspiring students to stay determined.

The program emphasised the importance of hard work and integrity, urging students to avoid examination malpractice and strive for academic excellence. Rotaract members reassured candidates that their BECE results would not solely determine their future, highlighting the value of perseverance and a positive mindset in achieving long-term success.
Miss Quaye’s collaboration with the Rotaract Club reflects her dedication to youth empowerment and academic achievement. The seminar left a lasting impact, with students expressing appreciation for the guidance and encouragement provided.
Hon. Yibor concluded the event by pledging to fully sponsor students who achieve between six and nine As in the 2025 BECE. He also called on parents to support their children in the final days leading up to the exams, ensuring they excel across all subjects. The initiative was acknowledged, marking a successful effort to motivate and prepare BECE candidates for academic success.
