Kenya Confirm Mombasa For Black Sharks AFCON 2016 Qualifier

The Ghana national Beach Soccer team; Black Sharks, begin their quest for a second successive Confederation of African Football (CAF) Beach Soccer appearance with a tricky away encounter against Kenya.

The President of Beach Soccer Ghana Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has confirmed that the first leg will be played on Saturday August 27, 2016 at the Pirates Beach in Mombasa at 3pm.

The venue was officially communicated by officials of the Kenya Football Federation in an official press release to Beach Soccer Ghana.

Beach soccerMeanwhile Beach Soccer Ghana has confirmed Daniel Kottey Niiquaye and Thoephilus Nii Armah as the unchanged head and assistant coaches for the Black Sharks.

Both coaches successfully qualified the Black Sharks to the maiden edition of the CAF beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) championship finals in Seychelles last year.

18 Ghanaian players have commenced non-residential camping from August 15, 2016 to prepare for the Kenya encounter. They include reigning AFCON Goal King Alexander Adjei, captain Michael Sena and the 2015/2016 beach soccer league MVP Alfred Torsu.
